Thought I'd share this info from our Physics faculty regarding an upcoming demo-
You and yours are cordially invited to Physics Demonstration Night, August 31st 7:00 - 8:30 pm , in the Crider Lecture Hall of the Math-Physics Bldg (Boyd) Room 203.
This year's theme is Electricity. Demonstrations may include: Electrified hot dogs, pickles, pickled pigs' feet, and queen olives. Also, the million volt zap cane, a 600,000 volt van de Graaff generator, levitating metal, the exploding wire, and more.
Demo Night is free and open to the public, and suitable for ages 5 years and up. An early arrival is advisable.
